The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas, in its directive dated 2nd June 2022, mandated the switchover of coal-fired boilers to either PNG or Biomass, with the critical condition of achieving SPM levels below 80 mg/NM³, effective from 1st October 2022.
